Takeoninfertility

My take, our mission

By Joe

According to a study co-authored by one of the world's leading environmental and reproductive epidemiologists, sperm counts in the western world have fallen by an astonishing 59% between 1973 and 2011. At this rate, sperm counts will likely reach zero by as soon as 2045.

We must now do what we can to safeguard our fertility, the fate of mankind, and the planet.

Purpose

takeoninfertility:

My take on my own infertility,

collectively taking on a growing problem

I'm Joe, serving RAF Pilot and male factor IVF + PICSI veteran. Proud and fortunate father of 2 boys (IVF and natural, despite being told it would be “almost impossible” to conceive naturally).

Here, I use my own experience to build on up-to-date knowledge and ideas to focus on male infertility, the subject and the community.

You'll find a scattering of memories dating back to my discovery in 2017. The ups and many downs since, alongside facts, figures, controversies, trends... anything relevant and of interest.

In 2017 no one offered a man's perspective on fertility issues. This is me providing that and reaching out to normalise male factor infertility.

My aim is to engage everyone in this discussion. Everyone can benefit.
